His Church is BIGGER than we think.
Isn’t it crazy to think how BIG His Church is? We like to think it is just the building we show up to on Sundays, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The Church is not a building at all. It is US. All believers make up His Church.
In John 17, Jesus was in His final hours and he chose to pray for us – for our unity. He didn’t pray that we’d solve world hunger or be the best on the block, He prayed that we would be ONE.
“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.” John 17:21-22
On Sunday, December 3rd, we can join with several local churches to worship together as His One Church. This family worship gathering celebrates the oneness that Jesus prayed for in John 17 and the unity we are called to as Christ’s Body. Although we attend different buildings each weekend, we are ONE in Him. This is our chance to “make every effort to keep ourselves united in the Spirit”, get to know other believers in our community, and celebrate the beauty in the diversity that is His ONE Church.
